Red Cuthbert Morris, based in Bedford, was founded in 2012 by a group of friends who love morris dancing. We perform a mixture of traditional Border and Cotswold dances as well as some dances of our own and other modern compositions. We are keen to keep traditions alive while adding something new. Affiliated to the Morris Federation, we are open to people of all genders.

We believe in a collaborative and inclusive future for morris dancing, and reject attempts to subvert folk dance for political or bigoted ends.

We are a friendly side and always open to new members, so if you fancy trying out morris dancing for yourself contact us and come along to a practice.

If you were wondering, our name comes from the hall we practise in  – St Cuthbert’s Hall ( as well as the colour of our shirts!).
