Somehow we haven’t blogged since March, and it is already a month since our AGM! So, what did we get up to over those last seven months? Well, here’re some of the things we’ve enjoyed!
Last time we blogged, it was the Ale season. After that, in April we danced at Kimbolton Lodge to celebrate St George’s Day, and also performed at the Higgins Museum following a talk about morris dancing in Bedfordshire (similar to the one we blogged about before – Morris dancing in Bedfordshire).
Then of course on the first of May we went to Bedford Park and danced up the sun outside The Pavilion, though the clouds made it a bit hard to tell for sure!

Oddly enough the cafe wasn’t open at 5.30-6am, so later in the month we toured a number of places that were, starting at Bromham Mill and going on to dance at pubs in several villages throughout the course of day, ending back at the Bluebell in Putnoe.

June then saw us in St Neots as part of the day of dance for the folk festival organised by St Neots Folk Club, a great but rather hot day. We did manage to get a couple of videos of other sides dancing to add to our YouTube channel, though it was very hot so we were out of our rag coats before we finished dancing!

In July we met up with Baldock Midnight Morris to dance at the March Hare in Dunton and then later in the month also performed at The Quarry Theatre as part of Bedfringe. Then in August we were in Bedford town centre for the closure of Pride of Place Bedford‘s summer creative hub.
September saw us getting our eye in at a village fĂȘte in aid of Wrestlingworth Goodwill Fund, before taking a trip all the way to Bedford’s twin town of Bamberg in southern Germany – something that’ll hopefully get a blog post all of its own in the near-ish future.

Finally, in October we danced in town and held our AGM, and to come full circle on this blog post at the end of that month we co-hosted our very own Ale together with Golden Hare Morris… phew!
